About Vacay Maniac
Vacay Maniac helps you decide where and when to go on holiday – with numbers, not hype.

What this site does
Choosing a holiday usually starts with two questions: where will it be warm, and will the weather actually be good? Vacay Maniac answers them with averages calculated from long-term climate records. You can compare day and night temperatures, sea temperatures and rainfall for every month of the year on one map and in one table.
How we work
- Data first. Every figure comes from a named, open data source. We show the source and the period it covers next to the numbers, and explain the calculations on our methodology page.
- No invented experiences. We do not claim to have stayed somewhere we have not, and we do not publish made-up ratings or reviews.
- Open about money. The site does not currently earn money. If we add affiliate links in the future, they will be clearly labelled and explained on this page, and they will not change how destinations are ranked.
